ANIMALS DOING OLYMPICS

The stadium was packed, flags waving, cameras flashing, and the high jump bar gleaming in the sunlight. But this was no ordinary Olympic event. Today, for the first time ever, two unlikely athletes had entered the competition — Ellie, the graceful elephant with legs like tree trunks, and Gerry, the towering giraffe with legs like stilts.

The crowd buzzed with disbelief.
“An elephant in the high jump?!” someone laughed.
“A giraffe, maybe… but an elephant?!” another whispered.

First up was Gerry. His long legs and neck made him look like he was already halfway over the bar just by standing there. With a running start — or as close as a giraffe could manage — he leapt. His hooves soared, his neck arched, and whoosh! he cleared the bar with room to spare. The crowd erupted in cheers.

Then came Ellie. She took a deep breath, flapped her ears like wings, and thundered toward the bar. The ground trembled beneath her, and just when everyone thought she’d crash through it… she launched into the air, her massive body lifting higher than anyone imagined possible. She cleared the bar perfectly, landing with a triumphant trumpet that echoed through the stadium.

The crowd went silent for half a second — then boom — a roar of cheers that shook the seats. People were on their feet, some wiping tears, others screaming as if they’d just witnessed the impossible.

The scoreboard flashed: NEW WORLD RECORD – TIED

Ellie and Gerry turned to each other, sharing a knowing smile. They didn’t just compete in the Olympics. They redefined it.

That day, the world learned something new: when giants dream big, even the highest bars can’t hold them back.
