A routine patrol turned into a life-or-death drama when a brave park ranger risked everything to save a deer from the jaws of a massive crocodile.
The incident took place along the muddy banks of a river in a protected wildlife reserve. Witnesses say the young deer had wandered too close to the water’s edge to drink, unaware of the predator lurking just beneath the surface. In an instant, the crocodile lunged, clamping its powerful jaws around the deer’s leg.
