In a scene that seemed straight out of a movie, a horse has been hailed as a hero after preventing what could have been a devastating bus accident on a busy highway.
Witnesses traveling along the rural highway early Monday morning reported seeing a runaway bus begin veering dangerously off course after its driver suffered a sudden medical emergency. The vehicle, carrying more than 30 passengers, swerved across lanes, narrowly avoiding several cars.
Just as panic began to spread, a horse from a nearby farm broke free from its paddock, galloping directly onto the roadway.
