Every morning, before his shift began, he quietly sat inside his car and took a moment to pray. It was not loud or disruptive. It was simply his personal way of starting the day with calmness and intention.
His coworkers noticed. Over time, this simple act became the target of jokes and sarcastic comments. The man did not argue or fight back. He simply continued his routine, believing that kindness and consistency would speak louder than reactions. Yet the mockery persisted, day after day.
One morning, the teasing escalated. His boss, who had watched the interaction from afar, confronted him in front of the employees. Pointing toward the large construction site around them, he raised his voice and said, “Your God didn’t build all of this. We did.” Several nearby employees laughed along, turning the moment into a scene of ridicule. The man remained calm and simply replied, “You believe what you want, but for me, all things are possible with God.”
The boss then tried to push the situation even further. He pointed at a construction crane parked near the edge of the site — a machine that had not been operational for days. It was known to be down, waiting for repairs. “If your God can do anything,” he said sharply, “go start that crane. Lift a steel beam to the sky.”
The man paused. He had never driven a crane before. But instead of reacting with anger or fear, he walked toward the machine. He sat in the driver’s seat, bowed his head, and prayed.
The atmosphere suddenly became quiet. The group who had been laughing moments earlier now waited, expecting him to fail. When he finished praying, he turned the key — and the engine started.
Even the man himself was surprised. The machine that had been silent for days came alive. Guided slowly and carefully, he lifted a heavy iron beam and raised it upward. The worksite fell into complete silence. The teasing stopped. The boss watched, stunned, unable to explain what just happened.
The man stepped out of the cabin and said softly, “This is the God I serve — the God of possibility.”
